The year long event, aptly called "A Century of Values Tour" will launch from Laingsburg, Mich., Feb. 8. Fourteen road teams of dedicated adult scout volunteers will travel in the donated motorhome nearly 45,000 miles, with a mission of visiting every Boy Scout Council in the United States. The Century of Values team will also make stops along the way to visit some of the All American Homes construction facilities and builders to learn more about the processes that make system built homes such a great value. It is expected that local media outlets will be in attendance at many of the stops.
At each of the approximately 300 Boy Scout Councils, the teams will make a ceremonial presentation to each Council Executive with a large color mural depicting key figures and events through Scouting's first 100 years. The final day of the tour on February 8, 2010, will conclude with a mural presentation to the National Boy Scout Museum in Texas.
"Our goal is to thank each council for their commitment to Scouting's traditions and values, and with a great company like All American Homes standing behind us we know that our goal will be reached.", said A Century of Values tour advisor Frank Mallon.
